I would like to be able to setup MD as a service.  Users on the computer keep closing it down and I don't want them to be able to.

Thanks!

I'll put it on the list...

Srvany from Microsoft was able to set up almost any app as a service on XP and older OS's. But I am not sure if it works on Vista and above. Do a search on run as a service and see what comes up.

EDIT:

Did a quick search and came up with a free application which supports Vista.

Woudl that place it automatically in the task bar or act invisibly like a normal service any ideas?

I tried and it puked out repeatedly with .net 1.1 errors.  When I clicked Quit it kept erroring out, when I hit continue it brought up the metars window without any data on it.

I just have pesky end users that don't hit the To Tray button and instead close it despite me posting memos about it.  Going to have to get out the ballpean hammer and hit some people haha.

Thanks Rick - That would be great if you could set it up as a service or even make it password enabled to close.
